My Story

My journey into the world of jewellery craftsmanship began with a spark of curiosity and a determination to master the artistry of goldsmithing and silversmithing. Over two decades ago, I embarked on an apprenticeship under the tutelage of the esteemed manager of Gerald Benny, The Queen's silversmith. Under his guidance, I learned not only the technical intricacies of the craft but also the profound significance of every piece created.

During those formative years, I developed a deep appreciation for the rich history and timeless elegance encapsulated within each piece of jewellery. With each delicate stroke of the hammer and meticulous setting of precious stones, I discovered the power of craftsmanship to transcend mere adornment and become a tangible expression of beauty and emotion.

As I honed my skills and refined my techniques, I found myself drawn to the art of restoration, breathing new life into antique treasures and preserving their legacy for future generations. The satisfaction of resurrecting a piece from the past, restoring its former glory, and witnessing the joy it brings to its owner is a feeling like no other.

Now, with over 40 years of experience under my belt, I am proud to lead David Martin Jewellery—a testament to my unwavering dedication to excellence and my commitment to providing unparalleled craftsmanship and personalized service to each and every client.

My journey is far from over, and I am excited to continue pushing the boundaries of creativity, innovation, and artistry in the world of jewellery making. Thank you for joining me on this extraordinary adventure.
